About The Program
Since the decoding of the human genome in 2002, there has been a rapid development in genetic testing technologies. Many countries have been competing to establish population genetic maps, represented by national genome program specialized for each country, such as the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, and others. The establishment of population genetic databases has a direct impact on monitoring genetic variants, allowing individuals to take preventive and preemptive measures before the onset of disease symptoms in many cases. In addition to the economic sustainability achieved through implementing health policies that are tailored according to the genetic makeup of populations.
